The School of Law, Literature and Foreign languages has entered into a stage of multi-disciplinary development, including literature, law and management. There are 4 undergraduate programs in Law (oriented toward Foreign trade and E-commerce), Chinese Language and Literature (oriented toward Literature Composition and Network and New Media), English (oriented toward English Translation and Business English), Japanese (oriented toward Japanese Translation and Business Japanese) and 3 junior college programs in Tourism Management, Hotel Management and Applied English. In addition, the school offers literature composition class, an English-Japanese bilingual class, an English simultaneous interpretation class and a dual degree class in English and Law. After 10 years’ development, our school has expanded its size with the student body totaling 1,400. 
 
The school has 91 full-time teachers, of whom 26 are professors and associate professors (1 doctoral supervisor and 5 postgraduate supervisors), 65 are lecturers. A total of 64 teachers have Master’s Degree, 6 have Doctor's Degree, and 16 teachers have ever studied abroad. There are a total of 9 foreign teachers in our school.
 
The school has a separate teaching building, with the teaching and office area totalling 12,000 square meters. It is equipped with moot court, tourism simulation laboratory, office automation laboratory, note-taking skills laboratory, simultaneous interpretation lab, a lecture hall as well as a spacious English and Japanese Salon, 8 language labs, 3 autonomous learning centers and 13 multimedia classrooms.
 
The school actively promotes and advocates innovation in education. In 2015, our students obtained a total of 261 various professional qualification certificates; there were 10 students who won 160 awards, such as Undergraduates’ Provincial Research Achievement (the first and second prizes), Provincial Challenge Cup for outclass research achievement and other provincial or above level awards; more than 60 academic papers were published by our students; one national patent was granted; 14 students succeeded in business and 2 students obtained Principal Award which is the highest within our school. Also in 2015, altogether 81.28% of students passed the TEM-4 when they took the exam for the first time, 56.4% of students passed the TEM-8, 61.23% of students passed the CET when they took the exam for the first time, and 92.5% of students passed the Japanese Test Grade Two. In the year, Liao Qi, a Japanese major, from Class 1201 won the Grand Prize in Speech Contest of China Cup. Liao Qi, as a representative of Central China Contest Area, participated in the Final in Tokyo and won the first prize. In addition, it is very common now for majors of Japanese to go to Japan for internship and most of them stay in Japan for their further study and work. A total of more than 70% of law majors passed the exams for postgraduates, the national judicial exams or the civil service examination. Chen Wan and Li Minyang from the 2011 grade respectively published their works on Law and the works by Chen Wan was accredited with Provincial Undergraduates’ Research Achievement (the second prize) in 2015. More than one third of students in literature composition class published their won monograph; and two thirds of students were enrolled as members by provincial or municipal writers' associations; the prose anthology The Memory in Midsummer was published by Kansai press; the series of The Ancient Chinese Literature--lyre-playing, chess, calligraphy and painting was selected as the composite publishing project of teenagers’ core values of socialism and published in 2016; the network movie At a Loss created by members in the literature composition class was broadcast by Iqiyi; the inspirational network drama which has one hundred episodes was already initiated under a contract; the tourism management and hotel management have launched a long-term and wide range of school-enterprise cooperation with famous domestic and foreign hotels and tourism enterprises, providing students with a full-range of opportunities for practice, internship and employment .
 
The school is steadily promoting its international strategy and has established a wide range of communication and cooperation with 14 universities and academic institutions from 9 countries and regions.
 
With a strong growth momentum and fine learning atmosphere, the School of Law, Literature and Foreign Languages sent a total of 102 students aboard for further study in the recent three years, and more than 20% of students have passed the national examination for postgraduates, among whom 212 students have been enrolled by famous universities. Our students are strong in innovation and the employment rate has always been kept above 92%; many graduates have been employed by the world top 500 companies and won high praise by the society and employers.
