FUA Visits WUT to Discuss about Cooperative and Exchange Programs

Zhongnan online, November 6——On the morning of November 6th, the vice director of international relations and program development office in Florence University of the Arts (FUA) Luca bucciarelli visited WUT to discuss about cooperative and exchange programs. The president assistant and dean of School of International Education professor Peng Yuanjie and the vice dean of School of Art and design associate professor Li Gang attended the conference.

At first, the two sides introduced their universities and the department of art. Then they focused on the cooperative program for master’s degree and program of sending teachers abroad for further study, involving the requirements of English proficiency, the expenses, the contents of agreement and so on. According to Luca bucciarelli’s introduction, Florence University of the Arts is an international school in Italy. At present it has about 2000 students, of whom 80% are international students from countries and regions such as China, America, south America, middle East and so on. All the courses are taught in English, but the school requires the students to learn a little Italian to assist basic living.
The department of art in Florence University of the Arts mainly includes visual arts and communication, photography, fashion design and so on. It focuses on the cultivation of students’ technical skills, internship and practical experience. FUA carries out cooperative learning and experiencing learning in class with explicit tasks, case study relating to practice and operation of specific projects in industrial market. It not only develop students’ creative minds, but also pays attention to its real applications. On this aspect, the methods of cultivation in the two schools are consistent. The vice dean of School of Art and Design professor Li Gang said:“Our school also attaches great importance to the application of students’ creative ideas and concerns whether they’re close to the markets or not.”

The president assistant and dean of School of International Education professor Peng Yuanjie expressed the intention to cooperate with FUA. Luca bucciarelli said he would actively promote the cooperation and exchanges of the two schools and strengthen the contacts.
