Staff and Students from NP Study Chinese Culture at WUT

Zhongnan Online, Sept. 6th—On the morning of September 5th, the opening ceremony of the Eighth Chinese Culture Immersion Class from Ngee Ann Polytechnic was held in School of International Education of Wuchang University of Technology. The class is made up of 79 members from NP. They were received and addressed by Prof. Peng Yuanjie, the president assistant of WUT and the dean of School of International Education. 


Prof. Peng expressed his warm welcome towards the guests and after retracing the exchange history between the two universities and introducing the characteristics and development of WUT, he encouraged the foreign students to be immersed in the surroundings to know more about Chinese culture and society. At last, prof. Peng wished the Eighth Chinese Culture Immersion Class a successful ending and wished the guests a happy stay in China.


Then Mr. Wang, the group leader of the staff and students from AP, addressed the ceremony. He first paid tribute to the elaborate arrangement and hospitability of WUT and hoped the students can have a fruitful journey to China.


In order to help the foreign students to be immersed in life on campus more quickly, the School of International Education organized the students of the Translation Union to communicate with and company them in pairs.


Since Sept., 2008 when the first Chinese Culture Immersion Class opened, it has been held for eight times. The class has become a bridge for the two universities to communicate and exchange and to know more about each other.
